Challenged: Day 2 & 3

I missed 11-30-15. So I’ll make up for it today.

Day 2

Isaiah 9:6-7

For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

New King James Version (NKJV)

Day 3

Isaiah 11:1-5

There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse,
And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him,
The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The Spirit of counsel and might,
The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
His delight is in the fear of the Lord,
And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes,
Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
But with righteousness He shall judge the poor,
And decide with equity for the meek of the earth;
He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,
And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.
Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins,
And faithfulness the belt of His waist.

New King James Version (NKJV)

What are you focusing on these days. This the time of the year when things get crazy. Black Friday has kicked off the crazy holiday season, cold & flu season is upon us, and just the normal stress that comes with life. People are stressed, tired, and hateful. I work very closely with people and get the brunt of these feeling first hand. My initial response is to get mad, because what did I do to you? But I usually just smile and apologize for the situation all the while I want to scream back. My prayer this holiday season is that I will not see with my eyes, or hear with my ears but with righteousness judge people. May we be so in tune with the true Spirit of Christmas and allow it to transform us and those around us.

Keep Pursuing,

Challenged

On May 22, 2015 I set this site up with the intention of writing something everyday. So far I’ve failed! Pretty much, because I never started. Why did I never start? I’m not sure. The list of excuses has things like: I haven’t known what to write, I’ve been too busy, does anybody really want to read anything that I may write, do I really want to put text to screen and lay myself, my thoughts, ME out for the world to see. Because I tell people all the time DO NOT write down anything you don’t want the entire world to see.

So here I am 11-29-2015. Still those same thoughts. But I was challenged a little bit by this post on Facebook, a 30 day scripture writing plan for Christmas.

I don’t know who put it together, but I give credit to them for the time and energy they put into it. Good job keep doing what you are doing!

So here’s day one…Isaiah 7:14-17

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel. Curds and honey He shall eat, that He may know to refuse the evil and choose the good. For before the Child shall know to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land that you dread will be forsaken by both her kings. The Lord will bring the king of Assyria upon you and your people and your father’s house—days that have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah. -New King James Version (NKJV)

I encourage you to start the things you have been putting off.

What have you been waiting to Actively Pursue?

Until tomorrow 😉
